Jrada Malha by Driss Roukhe

Driss El Roukh’s movie ‘Jrada Malha’ is distinguished by its boldness in aesthetic research; as it bet on high-quality, visual and musical atmospheres, drawing on the formula of films that are smooth and sturdy, in which the attractiveness of the climate in which the spectator is allocated is quite influential.

Jrada Malha participated in numerous international festivals (Toronto Festival, where it won the Best Film and Best Screenplay award), (Alexandria Festival, where it won the Best Director award); in addition to its participation in Durban in South Africa and Montreal Festival, and Buffalo Festival in the United States of America).

Dados suffers from a disorder, which makes him mix up the past and the present. He decides, upon his release from prison, to return to his life as a con-man, but with larger projects and well-thought-out plans to reach his goals. With the help of four women who live in harsh conditions he recruits to work for him, he begins to carry out extortion operations against a group of rich personalities.
